Sure. You could get them both if the rock hits and kills the first bird then is deflected into a second bird killing it. The rock might even fall onto the second bird.
Generally the saying 'two birds with one stone' is a way of saying 'accomplishing two tasks with one activity'.

No no no...birds are not real. they are part of the government controlled "matrix" Killing two birds with one stone is a made up phrase cause while creating the "matrix" someone inserted a bug that would not allow 2 birds to be killed with one stone.

Highly unlikely, the second bird would hear the noise and fly away,the only way he could do it would be to retrieve the stone, wait till the other bird came back and then hit it also.

yes throw it really hard at one bird. Kill it, then pick the stone up again and do the same to another bird. Doesn't necessarily have to be at the same time.

i've killed two birds with one stone is a saying. it means getting two things done in one go like when i research how to look after my guinea pig and use that research to do complete my assignment at the same time.

as long as you firmly grip the stone, it is thereticaly possible to kill up to 64,063 birds with one stone daily. I had to do this once when the guillotine blade broke on the assembly line at the chook slaughterhouse where I worked. If you ever have to do this my tip is rest your elbow on a high table
