Putting pregnancy and illness aside, hair pretty much grows at a maximum rate of half an inch per month no matter what you do. A little faster in the summer than in the winter.

On an average hair grows about 1/2 inch per month. My hair is about the same length as yours, but since I don't know the thickness or cut you have it's hard to say. I have very thick and very layered hair. When I style I just put mouse in it, then I blowdry it (which usually takes about 5-10 min.) straighten it, and I finish it off with the Redken product that makes it shiny. It's very easy and everybody tells me that it looks good.

i've heard that it grows 1 inch every 2 months. but it just depends on your DNA. also, if you want it to grow faster make sure your getting enough nutrients. ask a local beauty shop about what can help your hair grow faster. my hair was really long but i got 14 inches cut off around october to donate to locks of love. by november it had grown a reasanable noticiable amount. it's now january and i can get it up into a very very small pony tail (when i got it cut it was hovering above my shoulders)....so it varys with diffrent people.

Hair grows around 2cm per month, but it really does depend on your hair. I have shoulder length hair and mine grows faster that some of my friends. As you grow older you will also find that it takes longer for hair to grow.

The answers given *above* are all great answers.
Hormonal state, genetics and diet all play a part in the speed of hair growth. My hair did not really grow, robustly till after i had my children. Now its down to my waist. But it took it about 6 years to get that long. regular haircuts (small amounts, trimmings) help to stimulate growth. Patience. I added soy and lecithin to my diet and it helped me.

diet, there are vitamins and different things you can eat to help grow you hair. it depends on a lot on you body chemistry and metabolism and stuff. the best thing is to do some research into what different things you can get and then look for those ingredients on the food labels. then just keep track of the length.

(0.44 mm per day). It may grow faster or slower depending on your age, your genetics and your hormonal state
