I HATE new years...if for nothing else it CLOGS up my gym with overweight people who have these crazy 'new years resolutions' to lose weight in the new year...

I for one HATE it... These people have NO idea what they are doing with the weights and clog the cardio equipment for at least two weeks (or whenever they give up on the resolution...whichever comes first)

Does anyone else agree that the gyms should designate certain pieces of equipment for these potential quitters so die-hards like myselft don't have to wait for them???

please don't take offense but that's the attitude that drives some of us newbies away from the gym. We need your patience getting up to speed and there's no way that we're going to get there with someone intimidating us.
I love your idea though of a spot for the folks, like me, who try but are shy and body conscious. Then we wouldn't feel like gelatinous blobs in front of you hard bodies and you wouldn't be inconvenienced.

Did my first one at lunchtime. Ooooh, the pain. Agree with you though, it gets a bit busier for a few weeks, but look on the bright side - they're subsidising your membership. you were a potential quitter once as well, don't forget.

And another thing, how comes I put on weight over Christmas when I didn't eat anything?

lol, yeah. Instead of going to the gym this week just do pushups and body resistance exersises, run around your block or down the sidewalk. You don't have to go to the gym this week. Keep fit.

Actually I can't wait to go to the gym... Going to the gym has been one of the main things on my mind... I do know what you mean though, I hate going to the gym when it's all crowded.

I reckon they should have 2 seperate sections in the gym, one for people still learnig to use it ect, and the other for people who know what they are doing. Sounds fair :-)

I'm not dreading it at all. I won't be going. I'll stay home and drink beer so you have more room. Do a few crunches for me. Happy New Year.
