Learn a little about it so you know what he's talking about but that's as far as you need to go. It's ok for people in a relationship to have different hobbies. If you collected stamps or ballroom danced, would you expect him to instantly pick them up? Probably not. He's not looking for you to love them like he does but it would be nice to show that you care enough about him to learn what he's talking about. So watch the movies with him and leave it at that. It's quality cuddle time and you can say you tried.

Try pulling him into you're intrests. I'm sure Star Wars isn't his total life. He should have other hobbies and if not send him to see a psychologist. Geeks do have lives.
