I sure think so... it's probable enough to me... Back a few years ago, the snow came in November, now we'll have to wait till February.

The cycles of the Earth's weather are becoming too chaotic... if they continue, I see no reason for the Earth not to collapse in another six years...

Well, anyways. What's your opinion? Why do YOU think the world will end at whatever time? I'm just asking...

Global Warming is certainly a serious issue that will only gain ground in the political realm with increased awareness and concern on the part of the majority of citizens not just of America, but of the world. I don't believe the world will end in 2012.

If you're basing the year 2012 off of the popular Mayan predictions of the "end of time" based on their calendar, I don't believe that this will be the end of the world; it is supposedly a time of a reconnection between people and the Earth, which would make sense since people are starting to realize the negative effects of our actions on the environment (since the '70s). It is explained as the end of a calendar cycle that will just start over again like our calendar going from December to January, it has a lot to do with astrology and some planets being aligned.

As a Christian, I don't believe the whole world will be destroyed by a flood as some have interpreted this to mean because God promised this will never happen again (the fourth cycle, according to the Mayans, will end on Dec. 21st, 2012 and be destroyed by water). However, there probably will be a lot of flooding, hurricanes, etc. as a result of Global Warming, which will increase up to and beyond 2012.

Well I dont doubt global warming. But this planet is over 4 billion years old and in that time it has been frozen over completely and it has been a hot ball off lava. The short amount of time the human race has been years has been a pretty mild time that, is very rare on this planet it is either one extreme or the other. So there is no telling if we are in the middle of a natural flux or something that is only our fault. Look into recent history for extremes during Americas revolution it was aid whem Washigton crossed the Delware River it was filled with ice. And it was normal then but it doenst happen now it would have to be an extreme winter for that to take place. Well I dont know but I dont think we were pumping the crap we are pupming out now. So no I dont think the world will end in 2012 let alone form global warming. Global warming will probably kill the world in 5,000 years in my opinion, but it aint gona be fun living durning it.

Not hardly, the current rate of warming is 0.04 degrees C per decade. In other words, you will not be able to tell the difference. the weather comes in cycles, always has, always will. The logic that you use would have predicted more hurricanes in 2006 than in 2005, but it did not happen.

The earth's magnetic poles shift about every 100,000 years. We are due for another swap. Do you think the fluctuations in the magnetic fields effect the weather.. It does. Don't worry to much, after about 15 years we will start another trend for an ice age.

I don't know if it will end in 2012. It wouldn't surprise me thought if we only had 50 or so years left. What i do know is that we have to work really hard and try to do our part to help prolong the life on earth. If we all did our best we could reduce some of the negative effects of global warming. Take mass transportation or carpool. When you do your groceries take your own bags preferably canvas or use your shopping cart. People just shrug it off like it's not a big deal unfortunately there too little of us that are conscience about global warming.

lol. If the world (as we know it) ends in 2012 it will not be because of anything humans did to the environment. Think about how big the universe is and how small we are in comparison. I do not know why humans think they are god and can control the fate of the earth. At best we can wipe out the human race, but we can not wipe out life, something will survive. But ultimately it is God's call when the world ends

So just relax and enjoy the very privileged life you lead. Be a good person, treat the world that we were given with respect, and do your part for society.

Get a grip!

The climate of the earth is very dynamic. It has been through multiple ice ages as well as periods of warming. A few degrees change in relative temperatures of your particular backyard over a period of "a few years" is hardly a sign of the apocalypse.

While it is true that we need to be concerned about human impact on the environment, this is hardly new news. People have been concerned with this for decades.

The only thing that has really changed is a new wave of media frenzy surrounding global warming aimed at convincing people like you to run like a scared little rabbit towards whichever politician or party that (falsely) claims to have a solution (remember that pre-positioning for the 2008 election cycle has already begun).

I'm not saying that we don't need to be concerned about global warming or our environment. I am just saying that I find it unfortunate that people like Al Gore have the audacity to use it to create FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) in the minds of a public that simply don't have all of the facts in a fairly transparent attempt to swing public political opinion on a rather large scale.

Interesting that u mention 2012 as that is the year the ancient Aztec calendar predicts the end of the world. The Aztec calendar is based on astronomical cycles and therefore suggests a more
celestial event such as a meteor collision. I think global warming would take longer.

no it wont end. the earth goes through a heating process for awhile every 100 or so years. everyone is so worried that its global warming, but its not. here in missouri they were saying we are going to have a very warm summer but we had 2inches of ice then 2-3inches of snow on top and left thousands without power for a week and a half. now its warm in missouri ( 50s ) it sounds weird but we get this almost every year, its normal. i think people need something to whine about so they thought of this.

I don't think the world will 'end' necessarily, but it will certainly change drastically. Our lives will be less about sitting around the PC answering questions, and more about everyday survival. Heating, cooling, finding food. I agree the human race will become extinct as a result of Global warming.
