You are correct and yes I challenge their faith all the time. Not to try and break their faith, but to see if they really are what they claim. Most of the time they are not. I am a very hated man because of this, but I don't really care, if someone is going to preach to me, they better well show me they are for real by living a better life then I
If they come to work 2 minutes late everyday, then go to the bathroom, get coffee, walk around talking to everyone, and then 45 minutes later start working and sneak online during work and play chess, or send private emails and goof off, complain about their salery, think they do more work than anyone else but in reality do less work, have sex witohut being married to the person, why in tarnation do I have to let them preach to me, when I live a lot better life and am a lot happier?
When I confront them on this they use the lame exuse of, I am just a saved sinner and am only human and the bible says judge not lest ye be judged and God is not finished with me yeat.
I have no use for such people. However when I meet those few who by their works, not their mouth, but the way the thnk, act and live their lives scream they beleive what they claim, I have a deep respect for those rare individuals.
If you follow my commenst on YA you will know that I hold them accountable even here on this forum.

you are right, don't worry is so true a lot of people are christians and they don't act like it. They act like any other person around except when they are at church, The same thing happend to me and I stopped beleiving the love that they have for you supposedly. Well I found information about many religions that have been lying for ages to people, one of them is christianity made up by Catholics in ancient times making people worship an image of something that can't hear or talk, If you open your mind you realize that the christians non catholics worship the same lord but the only thing that they need is the image of it. That tells you that both of them are wrong and many other.

This is true. When someone professes to be Christian (and their are many atheists who claim to have been a former believer) it does not necessitate that they really are. The heart is deceptive and man can in turn be self-deceived. We are given way to tell if we or others have a true faith in Christ (see I John). However, they may also be a Christian in sin, so do not always discount them as a believer. But, believers will ultimately repent.

Of course you should do that.
Honestly (and I couldn't back this up with real statistics), I think that maybe %10 of the people in the US who claim to be Christian actually are.
They cannot tell you the plan of salvation and they sure ain't living Christ like lives. They are simply parroting what their parents told them.
Now don't become a judge of their character, but you can tell. The Holy Spirit will assist. And I think it even makes sense to tell them that their lifestyle/actions/whatever, betray the fact that they probably aren't Christian in the truest sense of the word.

The fruits of their labors assumes that work is it's own reward. If my faith was judged on what I said and did, Oh Boy. A lot of people work hard to be good Christian people but you would never know it by looking or listening to them. I agree with you. Wouldn't it be wonderful if people quit squawking about it and just lived it. Not everyone follows the rules.

Some people claim to be Christian but haven't really discovered yet what it means to be Christian. Others take the holier then thou approach. Only God knows if someone is saved or not, but I think you're right about it should show in your life and the things you say and do. But remember we are only human and make mistakes and let our emotions take over sometimes.

You got that part right hon! :~) Actions speak louder than words. Find the good in people and good people...and surround yourself with that. Life's too short for all the other bullcrap.
And you are right...there's the fruit of your actions, but there's also the fruit of your loins and they often reflect the truth of what people are really all about.
I don't believe that some people try hard enough. They think they can do what they want and that God is a rubber stamp that will absolve them of their actions. That's not how it works. You need to try to do good always, and resist the evil...because it just drags you down to their level and into all that crap. That's what evil does, and how you learn to know who your friends are and are not.

I'm usually backing away from them too fast to see anything.
I'm not trying to be smart, either, but my experience is that most people who feel the need to make sure you know they're Christian frequently exhibit some of the most unchristian-like behavior imaginable.

True christian can mean many things to different people, to some it means someone who is kind and loving, a rarity of christianity, to others it can mean a serial killer or a child molester or a rapist, so it depends on who youre talking to as to thier response.

To a certain extent, yes. I've been hurt many times by people who claim to be 'Christians' and now I take that expression with a grain of salt.
I hate to be like that, but I can't help it anymore. I see so many people who don't practice what they preach.
