Because God is pre-eminent and has always been in control of all things. His will, will and is being done. To know His will, read His book. If it makes some sense, praise Him for the incomprehensible gift of His salvation, without which you would have no hope (as most of the human race does not). To be on the winning side is all that matters. A famous theologian said it well: "I would rather fail in a cause that will ultimately succeed, than succeed in a cause that will ultimately fail." In a few short years, Christ will return, exactly as He said He would, only this time it will be as the Judge of all the earth. And having to stand and answer for one's sins in front of this all-knowing Judge is a thing I would not wish on my worst enemy. There is nothing you or I can do in order to earn favor with God. If He has saved you, there is great rejoicing forevermore. And you have a responsibility to testify faithfully of what His will is, and to learn it. If He has not saved you yet, there is still hope, since the earth remains, that at some future time, He might save you. He saves individuals at all different stages of their physical lives.
And it's not correct that many religions stem from this one God. Many religions stem from mankind's inherent nature to worship God, but since the Fall approximately 13,000 years ago, all human effort to recover fellowship with the one true God has failed. Only Christianity as described in His law book, the Bible, is pleasing to God.

Those gods of ancient history and their followers were defeated by a regime of another religion and religious followers. A lot of those defeated religions gave power and priviledge to only certain people and everyone else were slaves to those people and that god. So when the new religious leaders came in and promised a god for the slaves, they easily recruited more people to fight for them. Leaving those old religions to the history pages.
There are followers of many other religions beside Christianity and if those people were so inclined to make their beliefs the only belief and were willing to start wars and kill people who didn't believe in their beliefs, like the early Christians did, then who knows what would happen to the God we have in our lives today.

All religions bloom and fade just like flowers Christianity is sort of a late bloomer but already it is starting to fade. Islam is beginning to come on strong right now but those two will cancel each other out all the ancient religions like Paganism is just like weeds in the garden. All religion are doomed to truth in the end. xx

It was called the Roman Empire. The biggest promoter of Christianity before the USA. Without the Romans Christianity would have gotten nowhere.

The old ancient religions are alive and well, corrupted in beleif and practice just like Christianity, but paganism is on the rise. Faster now than Christrianity. Many are leaving Christianity and going back to paganism.

Ignorance is really surprising. Hinduism is far older than christianity, and many cultures still follow a form of animism. Your question shows an alarming degree of ignorance towards other cultures.

It is just the most recent God empire to come about.
That is all.
That's like saying Americans are really the greatest, always have been and always will be because they are the most powerful right now.
