I mean a relaxed, coffee culture, alternative kinda place - Canada has Vancouver, New Zealand has Wellington, USA has San Francisco. Which City in the UK has this kind of culture?

Excellent question. Brighton is like a British San Francisco (it even has sea fog, hills, gay people and hippies). It has a tolerant, anything-goes atmosphere, buzzing nightlife, urban quirkiness, eccentric locals, cafe culture, stylish shopping, diverse sights, a lively festival scene, popular culture and friendly local people. Would definitely recommend it.

i haven't a clue but the quietest place i know in the UK is Manningtree in Essex! also i believe Essex is quite a relaxing place!

what ever you do dont go to brighton like that other dude said. dont come to bristol either Cambridge is supposed to be really nice though.
