Yeah, especially since as an all knowing being, he already knew they'd eat the darn thing. They call that entrapment when cops do it! ;)

This place is pretty run down now, with all the horrible evil stuff going on everyday. Maybe he's a slumlord, we are all in a rundown tenent building.
His punishment could be that he has to live here for 30 days........and clean it up within 10 months or he'll get fined and possible jail time.

Adam and Eve disobeyed Gods orders and therefore had to be punished. Were you never grounded for disobeying your parents? It's the same principle only on a bigger scale.

God was referred to in "The Devil's Advocate" as "an absentee landlord." Pacino was playing Satan in that movie. It was interesting.

I take it a bit further. I don't think God exists.

It was for disobeying God after he warned them that they would die if they eat the fruit. All death and suffering came from that one act. That's far from a petty concern. Thank God that Jesus died to break that curse for all who accept him.

Kind of Puritanical too -- you can't get into heaven if you're the slightest bit impure.

Reminds me of the suburbs.
