I used to take Celexa, and it worked well for me. It's hard to answer your question regarding effectiveness, as it depends on the individual. I did not notice any side effects with Celexa; however, I had side effects with Zoloft and Prozac (diarrhea, nervousness, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, all of which I felt contradicted the reasons for taking an antidepressant in the first place).

Personally I have used a lot of antidepressants and the best so far has been Wellbutrin and Cymbalta. For me Prozac and zoloft def did not work because they made me feel like a zombie. Lexapro is also a good one because it isnt supposed to cause weight gain. Really what it comes down to is your body's chemical make up. What works for some can sometimes not work for others. I would suggest setting up an appointment with a doc. They have a better idea of what is new on the market and what is best.

I experienced side effects with both of those as well. I did find two other drugs that did work for me. Welbutrin (which is also commonly used to help one stop smoking) and Nortrypiline, which is an older drug but the only side efect I havehad from it is dry mouth, which goes away after a few weeks. Good luck.

As Salaam to you all, Taking any drugs for a real ailment isn't Haram, whether that drugs has alcohol interior it. sufficient has been mentioned approximately anti-depressants via different individuals to this question even inspite of the shown fact that it somewhat is as much as the guy and what the wellness care expert has prescribed that concerns. it somewhat is as much as the guy to take or not take the prescription in the event that they easily think of and have faith that they are able to do without it, or the wellness care expert may well be inspired into prescribing an option drugs. Wa Salaam

I take Effexor. It works well for me and i had very few side effects from it. It is very effective in most people who use it as it should be used. I used Celexa at one point as well, but I am highly allergic to it and had to stop. It works well too.

You can live a fantastic and happy life in Jesus Christ, without medicine for depression. There are no side effects either. One who finds Jesus finds forgiveness of sins, hope of Heaven, meaning of life, and undying love!
In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!

Just get the doctor to give you a vicodin or perocet - the heck with all that other junk. Yes - I know they are painkillers.
