A tough fight to call and a tough grueling fight for both fighters. Both men's styles are similar with the exception of Zale having more power and Basilio being the better boxer. Zale would come out on top due to Basilio propensity to cut and swell. The doctor stops the fight in round 10 due to Carmen's swollen eyes, resulting in his inability to see the punches coming.

BASILIO - W 56 (KO's 26) TF 79 - W pct 71% - KO pct 33% - wins over Williams, Robinson, Graham and Saxton[2] - KO'ed by Fullmer - #74 ranked fighter

Zale's trilogy against Graziano was legendary

Both of these boxers are the epitome of the forties fighters (real tough guys). Fullmer was a better fighter and Zale was a better puncher. In this bout, I have Zale winning in a 11 rd TKO.

Basillio would win but it would be a great fight. Basillio beat Robinson and gave him a tough fight every time out in their rematches. Basillio by decision.
