Week before last day.

(Basically, after it's announced and before it's occurred!)

Some will time it so it is the person's last day - that's okay too, but sometimes difficult to arrange.

Preferably when they are going to retire! haha. seriously...

If you work with the person, the week before, or during the last week.

If you know the person socially/personally, the week after.
