It depends on the cat and its health (and in some cases what you are willing to do to keep it alive-meds, daily treatments, etc.) I know I have seen some cats live past 21 years and do great while others deteriorate around 15, so I dont know. Hopefully your cat will still have 5 or 6 years left with you. The oldest I have seen was 22 years and was very healthy, but who knows if some will gone on longer.

Wow, that's quite a good age for a cat. Most indoor cats can live about 18 to 20 years at the most. It sounds like you are taking care of the nutritional needs of an older cat, so that will help. Just be sure that if it starts to suffer from older age illnesses, that you are prepared to help with its advanced needs. I have a Maine Coon that is almost 12 and he is showing no signs of advanced aging yet. Pet your Persian once for us!

On average, cats live to aaround 16/17 years.. the breed doesnt really effects amount of years a cat can live for. It all depends on the general health of your cat, whether it's over/underweight, dental health.. things like that. They can live for up to 20years tho, maybe a tiny bit more.

Most cats can live up to a total of nineteen years to twenty years. Trust me, I save strays and in my life, had a total of seventy three cats, pretty amazing huh, and I'm not even an adult yet.

Omg. your cat is lucky!! the average cat lives until age fifteen. Although lots of cats have lived into their twenties. don't be convinced that your cat is going to die soon!!
