Athesist is not a word,
Atheist is derived from the prefix "a", meaning "no" or "not".
The word "theist" means to believe in a deity.
The two together mean "one that does not believe in a deity".
Atheists typically believe in nothing supernatural.

"a" - without
"theist" - one who believes in god(s)

weak atheism is the absence of belief in deities without the belief that deities do not exist.

strong atheism is the belief that there is no god or gods whatsoever. No religion with a god is correct.

Generalizations about atheists:

All atheists believe science is always right
There is no afterlife
Theres no such thing as magick
Jesus was fake
Atheists believe the Big Bang and Evolution to be true
Only believe in what we can sense
Theres no such thing as supernatural powers
Atheists are not spiritual
etc.

All of the above are subject to each Atheists beliefs, not ALL atheists think everything above is true.

Atheism could techincally be called an unorganized religion. There are no dogmas or doctrines you have to absolutely believe in to be considered a atheist.

Many people will use the definition, "One who does not believe in God." However, in our christocentric world (let's face it people... this judeochristian thing is bogus, 99% of it's all the christo side, not judeo), that makes it sound like, "Don't believe in the christian god."

Better stated:
An atheist is a person who does not believe in any deity by any name or description, or, who actively denies the existence of such a being, or, who actively holds that the very idea of such a being is false.

An atheist does not believe in god or gods. An atheist can believe in the supernatural, but does not credit a sole and all powerful being with the creation of it. Atheist's can also be spiritual, that is because spirituality does not in and of it self link to a God or Gods.

I believe you mean "atheist" ... in that case "A" means "without" also "No" and "Not" ; "Theos" means "God" also "deity" ; "ist" means "One who does the action of..." (like in paintist - one who paints)... if you put these together it forms "atheist" , meaning "one without God or deity" = "one who rejects the existence of God or any form of superme being / deity"

As Mono-theist= "one who belives in one God"
Poly-Theist = "one who believes in more than one God"
