That same year my Granpa died we did not celebrate Christmas

You're Dad needs to start being a Dad... sounds like he has problems... and thats messed up to not get any presents because of a dealth in the family.... Try talking to him and tell him how you feel, maybe there are other reasons too. And for you not to be able to go to the wedding, thats really messed up too!

I would sit down with him and calmly ask for the reasons you can't go...
My Mom remarried a really nice guy and it was hard to share, but her being happy was more important to me than wanting to share or not...his two girls didn't want to share and they lost a very important relationship because of it.
Now my brother who this is the only man he would have called dad he wont because of the girls not wanting to share and he has been a dad to us for the last 18 years, while our dad chooses not to accept that he has two kids.
I wish you would really consider your feelings and maybe put your dad first, since He sounds like tries to do the best for you.
For christmas: You should start a new tradition and maybe make it in honor of your Grandpa...find a special ornament that you hang in the same place as the first one on a tree to say that he is still here with you in spirit. I read a poem that said live and dream as often as you breath, and I will never leave.
If you keep the person in your heart they never leave...maybe your father needs you to say that poem to him so he can remember your Grandpa.

Your dad needs to move on and so should you. If your father is happy you should celebrate his happiness. I lost my father and in march and my grandma a month later and my other grandmother Christmas eve last year I understand

why cant u go to the wedding your dad would let u go if he really loved u.
