There is no ideal weight for any specific height. Body Mass Index calculators are largely meaningless because they don't take into account build or muscle tone (which weighs more than fat). Go by how your clothes fit and how you look in the mirror. Or use the pinch test. Pinch off a roll of fat from your belly, your chest and your thigh. More than an inch and you need to hit the gym.

Also, if you've got some extra money to spend, you can always go buy a scale with a body fat percentage monitor. The target is about 15-20% for men, 20-25% for women.

There really is no "ideal" weight for everyone. A lot of things determine your weight. For example, height, body structure, etc. But if I had to say I would say it's best to be "ideal" becuase you're not underweight or overweight.

usually 5 lbs for every inch over 5 feet is within ideal range. example 5'4 120lbs would be an ideal range, but acceptable would be 5'4 110-150 lbs. everyone is built different regardless of their height or weight so you have to see what may be ideal for a individual person as well.

I not sure, guess there many places with different opinions. I use; http://www.mypyramid.gov/ to help people try to figure out a weight and calorie intake. On the right enter the requested information and click submit. It then give your Required Calorie Intake along with how much of each food group. Many are surprised that it more than a 1,000 calories per day. Many are trying to lose weight by not eating and it just cause the body to store fat. ;-)

There are many websites where you can check your bmi. They will most likely tell you if you are underweight, healthy, or overweight. I think it is best to either be underweight or ideal :]

there is no such thing. the only thing that matters is your body fat percentage. I try to get people to shoot for below average body fat for their age group and gender...
