Superstition is a fact. People believe in what they want to .

The two may not be a whole lot different in a few years. Now in movies they can make people do things like die and you know they did not die. Why do doctors practice medicine Hmmm maybe because the facts of today are the superstitions of tommorrow. Doctors use to bleed people to get rid of diseases. Now I have spoken of medicine, lets talk about a few medical facts, today we do have no idea how and why a person grows old but a shark does not age. Or better yet you get cut with a knife and science cannot tell you how or why you heal, that's a fact. Healing just happens without any facts to prove it.
Lets take science now, when I was in class they taught us light as two physical properities at the very same time? It is a partical that moves in a straight line, but also moves like a wave depending on the test performed. So which is it? It soley depends on how you look at it and which test reports you want to believe in. So who is to say todays fiction is not tommorrows fact. Did you know at one time in early days of cars people though that if a car got to 60 miles an hour it would fly, or better yet we would never fly to the moon, ever! The world is changing all the time too much to say you can only believe the facts, because a smart man can make facts lie!

It's easier. Plus, many superstitions have thousands of years of tradition behind them, while facts are discovered every day. It's hard for some people to let go of the old and accept the new.

It used to be accepted as fact that the Earth was flat... hell, some people still believe in that. Sometimes superstitions can "prove" themselves by mere coincidence, and sometimes "facts" can be incorrect.

What exactly are you talking about when you say superstitions and facts (what is which)? You are speaking too much in generalities...

superstitions are more fun to believe in?

wouldnt it be more fun to believe that a certain pair of socks makes you do better at a game of cards, rather then know the actual probabilities of obtaining specific card combinations?

Most people hate facts because it presents the truths they are too afraid to deal with.

For the record, science is never wrong, it's the people who misunderstand the evidence in front of them that are mistaken.

Face the facts, facts are too scary for people. Fantasy is easier on the ego.
