It depends on who the person is. I have friends I can trust some things with, but not others. And that rare friend that I can tell almost anything to. So in the end, you have to go with what you know about that person and put yourself out there.

Disagree. There are some people that you can not trust, but i have three very trusted friends that i can trust with anything i have and have proven this to me many times over the years. One of them is my husband and the other two are girl friends that i have had for many years. You know the people you can trust, so there is no cut and dry answer to this question.

Well there are different degrees of trust.-- Maybe never put a friend in a position that could temp them to abuse your trust!

Would you trust me with money to buy a sandwich for lunch? vs. Trusting a buddy to spend 2 weeks in the Bahhammas with my wife. The first situation... is a much easier task to trust someone, the second situation would never happen, and I would be surprised if my wife or any of my friends would even suggest such a proposition.

Just becareful and use common sense.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Even though you should be able to, you just can't control what they will say or do.

I have a friend who I just can't tell anything. He doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. I've had a friend try to put the moves on a serious girlfriend several times.

Everyone places a value on their friendships/relationships. Something they see as having a greater value, or more rewarding, will cause them to forget all about the times you got up at 2 am to pick them up from a bar, etc.

The only people you can trust are people who highly value their word or integrity. No potential gain would get them to give in on their word. It would take the fear of a significant loss, even then it's doubtful they would cave.

If you need someone to keep your secrets, get a dog.

well there is good and bad in that question . i believe in trusting friends but only in certain arias that r not to personal and never let them know all things sorta like mom and dad there are some things they need not know about me cause they may not agree and then turn it around on mebut in all trust just be cautious test them out first with something u know is not fact and see what they do with that and let some one else know u will be doing this

I have to disagree with you, we can`t go through life not trusting, even if it means that we`re let down at times. Learn to use your instincts, they can usually be trusted.
Ask questions if you`re not sure what to do or who to trust, but you can`t go through life without trust, it will turn you into a bitter person and perhaps a lonely person ...............
