I was considering getting the tattoo of wings on my upper back. Is that too much, should i get something smaller?

Personally I think you should go for it. It's your body and your tat. You choose what you get and where nobody else! They look very nice if done properly. If that's all you want on your back I say go for it!!
Don't listen to the closed minded people that shouldn't be in this forum to begin with.

I am getting so tired of people on here calling something a tramp stamp and having so idea what they are talking about. The supposed "tramp stamp" is the bottom on the back and that term is cliche anyway. Who cares. I think wings would be awsome just make sure to check out artists work carefully because you will need someone that knows how to do good detail. Just do the research and it should come out great. Make sure this is something you want for life and means something to you. Even though my first tattoo didnt quite turn out right it still means alot too me because it was for my daughter

Personally, I don't like tattoos much. I think a smaller one would be better. Consider a tiny pair of wings, or a very inconspicuous part of your body.

Well there are a lot of ways to go here as you didn't qualify your question. Good gumbo is way better than bad wings and vice versa. But if both are of equal quality the Wings win.

I think it depends on the wings. My hubby had small wings and I think they are HOT, his friend has some different wings that I also like. I would get wings but I would want to design them myself.

If you get it done be sure the spine of the wings looks right.
I have seen some wings that are really messed up in the middle.

Hey...thats my next tat! ;-) Are you kidding? Its super Hot!! Whats with all the negative talk about tattoos? But seriously, I think it's a great idea. It'll look awesome & unique when you wear backless shirts. Nicole Richie & Kelly Osbourne have them & they look great!! Good Luck!!

I think that wings on the whole back looks better. but thats just my opinion. I think that too many people have that tattoo. especially nicole ritchie has them. maybe you should get something unique and customized.
BUT thats my opinion, but you asked for it :)
