I liked this guy i know, and then he told me he liked me but i wasnt sure if i should date him because hes snogged one of my friends in the past and all my friends and mother say i could do better than him, sometimes i cant stop thinking about him and he says he really cares about me and has given me a necklace but he seems a bit of a player and unreliable do you think its worth liking him or should i move on and find someone else?

Everyone will say "find someone else" "You can do better". U really dont want to move on, u think he is really cute and u would really like to be the girl that can kiss him and hold hands with him. You can still do that with him, just be sure not to get to attached, if there is another guy think about him too, just dont get to close with this guy.

I think that you should make your own decisions... one person's experience with somebody can be so different than another's experience with that same person. My boyfriend was a player and played a lot of people that we grew up with and everybody told me how it was a bad idea to be with him but we've been together going on 3 years and he treats me so good and I know that he isn't the same as he used to be. The guy that you are talking about may still be a player... but you live and learn, and you have to make your own mistakes. Even if it does go that way, you'll have learned something from the relationship and you'll be stronger and smarter from it.

you are calling him a bit of a player and unreliable. Those are your words and not your friend's or family's. If you go with your gut on this one, you already have your answer. Just because you now know that he likes you shouldn't be the only real reason for giving him a chance.

You learn by trial and error, and most of the time people do what they want anyway, regardless of the advice others give them. Seems to me that caring friends & family usually have a reason for their opinions, but you have to learn by making your own mistakes. Do what you feel is best, but also keep in mind what others tell you. Often things are clearer to people not directly involved in the situation, as you are.

He sounds like a bad option to invest a lot of time in, and a lot of times you need someone to look at the situation from outside of it, because its hard to see the big picture when you're stuck inside. I'd say definitely at least keep their opinions in mind, and if you really want to pursue something with him, be cautious in doing so. He may prove them wrong, but be ready if he proves them right!

you could do this say i know how you were in the past but i really like you and i know you like me how about we date and if me and you are really good together we can become boyfriend and girlfriend just do a trial based thing and see how things go.
