okay, my best friend and i went out for a couple months then i broke it off. my boyfriend now says he still talks about me behind my back, but i KNOW he did when i broke up with him. i totally get that. but why would he still talk about me? he has another girlfriend. he seems all nice to me when its just me and him. whenever our other friends are around, hes such a jerk to me. i really wanna keep him as my best friend but i dont know what to do. i dont want a sucky best friend who is two faced and talks crap about me. help please.

he's probably not over you yet. thats why he keeps talking about you.
hes nice when its just u two and mean when theres other ppl around because guys are just stupid like that. haha. he wants to seem "cool" or whatever around his friends. like hes not hurt by the break up.
i think if u guys are best friends u should be able to talk to him about his behavior. and if he really respects u as a friend he would stop no matter what other ppl think.

If your boyfriend is saying that your male best friend/ex is talking about you behind your back, you should consider the possibility that your current boyfriend is jealous and lying to you. Or, making more out of a harmless situation.
Do other friends mention that the ex is talking about you? Probably not.
If he is your best friend, you should be frank with him and ask him what's up.

If he is that bad, then you sound like you already know what you /should can do, stop contact with him, end your friendship, and move onward to people tha treat you better. I've had a friend turned bf and back to best friend- but he had to gain my trust back first, and that sort of thing, you situation is really different so I am not sure I can make the right decision. The decision is your and you know what you will or will not, in this case, tolerate- Good luck

He is not a good friend for sure. He talks and moves with you good - straight..and back, if he comments about you..that is the worst..thing...he can do to a friend..it is not even worth calling him a friend..not even a human being...you can even forgive your enemies, but not betrayers. Treat him like a egg shell and throw it in the dustbin. How can he talk about you bad. You have been with him. he can keep quiet and he does not have any right to talk about you or your private affairs any more. Just warn him...write it in a piece of paper like this and throw it on his face---"YOU CAN THE WORST CHARACTER I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE. THANK YOU FOR THE GIFT YOU GAVE TO ME, FOR THE FRIENDSHIP I HAD ON YOU"

I think he still wants to be your friend but around his friends, he wants to show THEM that he doesn't like you at all anymore and is over you. You should tell him how you feel and if that doesn't work then get a new friend like ME.

He is two faced, forget about him being your best friend. If you want to salvage the relationship with your best friend talk to him. Communication could solve this problem.
