Ya i know i'm stupid for asking this but this is Q&A so i'm asking away! Anyways what in the heck is the point of a tree having bark on it? Is there any point at all like the bark protecting the tree?

Basically, what you and I recognize as being bark is simply made up of dead cells.

Bark on the tree is mostly for protection. The bark on some trees is edible though!

imagine you are a tree,what would happen if i skinned you alive? Thats what happens when you take away the bark off the tree.
