any digital camera will do, but the higher the mega pixel number, the sharper the pictures will be. and the more they can be enlarged before becoming fuzzy. For example a 3 mega pixel camera will produce a clear print up to 9"x12". as far as posting items on eBay, look at what other sellers are doing, keep your item descriptions short but as accurate as possible, and remember good grammar and spelling are always a plus

If all you want is to get a small digital camera to post pictures to other websites, you probably don't need anything all that expensive. I would try for a Kodak EasyShare camera. They're user friendly and easy to use, and the pictures they take aren't half bad, especially if you're just posting them to eBay and Yahoo. I wouldn't buy anything with more than 5 megapixels, because that would probably be too many for your purposes. The link has a camera that would probably fit the bill.

ANY 4-5 MP camera. Just try to get one that has macro function, which most do, in case you have some jewelry to sell. I use macro to show condition of clothing or other items, also. Do NOT try to use a web cam or one of those keychain cameras.

Consider the Canon A530 and its cousins. Good pictures, easy to use, easy on batteries, etc.
Price vs. quality - canon is the way to go.
