My cat, since moving in with my family, has experienced an increased number of cat treats (about 6-8 a day as far as i know)...is this too many? Couls this be causing her loose poops? Is this common?

She eats the regualr old cat treats in the bag...sometimes the moist ones and sometimes the hard ones.

Yes it could cause loose stool. If she is not used to this that may be causing it, however if you have just recently switched food or switched the cat treats that could cause it also. I would not give anymore treats and see if it clears up on its own. If not take to the vet to make sure nothing serious. Might need a special kind of food. Good Luck

Yes, My cat would upchuck with 4 cat treats. One would be all she could handle. Now that she is gone, I have another kitten and I only give him one. He gets no human food and I tell my family that and they respect my wishes. You have to watch when you change foods. You have to mix it with the old food slowly if you do decide to switch food.

I have a weird kitten, he eats everything he shouldn't! Cardboard boxes, pieces of carpet, anything little that you may drag in from the outside on your feet, toilet paper, Kleenex. I have to keep the bathrooms closed, turn the Kleenex boxes up-side down, sweep a lot, and watch him like a hawk, or mine gets constipated.

I hope your kitty feels better. Talk to your family and ask them to please refrain from giving him treats. Maybe you can work out a schedule so that one person can give your kitty a treat on one day and so on.

Yes, any animal treats are high in fat, just like human treats are. My 3 dogs get the poops every time my four year old decides to "cook" for them.

Yes,its very unhealthy. I would recommend cutting it down to 1 or 2 treats a day.
