We worship ourselves. There is no god/devil or any other supreme being. Satan is a symbol of intellectual and sociological freedom. Jesus and god are symbols of repression, slavery and a herd mentality.

Satanism is not so much a religion as it is a philosophy.

Atheism is not a religion. It is believing in nothing. No higher power. No religion. Nothing happening to oneself after death. A non-religion so to speak.

Satanism is a religion of self. They do not actually worship Satan. They don't believe in Satan at all, in fact. They just named in Satanism because it is the antithesis of Christianity's sins....namely the ones that involve the flesh. Satanists do not feel that sexual pleasure is wrong in any form as long as it is done safely and with consenting adults. Satanists do practice witchcraft but it is NOT the same witchcraft that is practiced by Wiccans. Wiccans adhere to a strict moral code of ethics when practicing Witchcraft. Satanists do not follow that same code. As to HOW it is performed....It is different, but I don't know exactly how, as I was never told that part. Sorry.

Athieism is not a religion. It's just the belief that there is no god.

Satanism is a religion, though it is an atheistic one. Wikipedia actually has a very well-done article on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanism For the most part, it's just a sort of spiritual humanism, with a few odd beliefs thrown here and there.

THEOS is greek for God, A- is greek for no, so atheism is literally NO GOD, or disbelief in whatever God there may be.

Satanism is the exact opposite regarding christianity, what causes a contradiction to occur, for LaVey took absulutely every aspect of the christian belief and inverted them. But ironically the structure remained unchanged, like celebrating masses for the devil, etc... Regards, Gabriel.

There is NO relation. Atheism is the disbelief in Christianity and Satanism is the worshipping of Satan. So technically Satanism is Christian they are just on the bad side. Agnosticism is basically you have no religion. You stay out of it because you don't really want to get involved or you don't believe in them. I'm agnostic because I don't really believe in Christianity and I stay out of the fact that religions cause wars and are what's stopping world peace.

Atheism is the philosophy of disbelief or non-belief in the existence of a deity or deities. It is commonly defined as the positive denial of theism or the deliberate rejection of theism. This means that they do not believe in supernatural beings, which includes gods.

Satanism is often mistaken as being a religion that encourages cruelty and irresponsible behaviour, but LaVey's brand is very different. Central is the idea inherited from Nietzsche that an individual must enforce his own meaning on life and rise above the perceived conformity of the masses. The Satanist is seen as equivalent to Nietzsche's Übermensch; LaVey claimed "Satanists are born, not made" and that "[Satanists] have a disease called independence that needs to be recognized just like alcoholism." There is a libertarian element here; diversity is encouraged, everyone is expected to discover their own sexuality, chart their own personality, and decide their own ambitions in life. In this stress on individuality, Satanism is considered a "Left-Hand Path" religion. Satanists do not believe that Satan is a god, rather the function of God is performed and satisfied by the Satanist him/herself. That is, the needs of worship, ritual, and religious/spiritual focus are directed, effectively, inwards towards the Satanist, as opposed to outwards, towards God.

LaVey proposes instead that as all gods are creations of man, worship of an external deity is worship of its creator by proxy. He suggests, then, that the rational Satanist should instead internalize his god, and therefore worship himself; hence the Satanic maxim, "I am my own god."

It follows that Satanism shuns the idea of belief in all other deities as well, including, to the surprise of many, Satan. Satan is viewed as a literary archetype, along the lines of John Milton's epic hero. This archetype is viewed not as a negative figure, but as a positive image of pride and mastery in opposition to servitude, faith, and humility.

Belief in any such externalized deities is generally considered grounds for excluding someone as a Satanist, and devil worship in particular is considered nothing more than a misguided inversion of Christianity.

Atheism is NOT a religion and it's not Satanism either.

Atheism means they do not believe in any god. Therefore they aren't religious either because ALL religions must have some god. Thats what makes them a religion.

Satanists are Christians (the Christians just like to deny it) because they must accept that the Christian god is real before they can worship Satan to become the Christian gods enemy. Christianity is the ONLY religion where Satan exists.

Atheism is not a religion. In fact, it's the complete opposite.

nothing juicy about either, really. they both kind of tell us to follow our bliss and enjoy this life because we don't get another chance later. (there is something known as theistic satanism which has similar teachings, but i am not sure if they believe in an afterlife). you want juicy, you should read the old testemen of the bible. there you find Love slaughtering millions of people (men women and children) because they won't believe in Love! Love also commands people to kidnap and rape women! How did Love do this? Well, don't forget some of that good ol' religion... God is Love, remember?

now that's juicy.

Atheism doesn't believe in a God and basically looks up to ones self. Satanism is normally thought of as worshiping Satan but it too is seeing ones self as god.

So Atheism and Satanism are very similar in the fact they worship ones own self and mankind as gods.
