You will only be able to get an LCD screen at 26inch. There are alot of buget screens for your price range. Although for around £500 you can get up to a 37 inch screen,HD ready too!!HD ready could be a bonus if using your xbox360.
Anyway have a look around, best prices are either on the web for named brands or a big electrical shop for buget brands. If HD ready is not important, I have seen a very cheap 26 inch on www.ebuyer.com-£250. Might be worth a look!
As for a spec, chose an LCD with a fast refresh rate and the best contrast ratio available for your buget. Refresh rate is the most important for gaming.
The aerial should work just as it does with your exsiting TV set.

i think if you just shop around for the moment in the sales, you will find a cheap enough tv thats also HD. LG make 90% of the worlds tvs so i would advise you to stick with them, i have one of these and they are genuinely superb.also i am not sure about a set top aerial but i am going to stick my neck out and say no. in answer to zach m, lcd is actually liquid crystal display, not liquid crystal definition

Well, you're not going to get a 26" HD Ready TV at that price. JVC do a pretty good one for under £500 ( http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/lt26dr7-i696.html ), but most are over £500. There aren't a lot of HD Ready TVs in the smaller sizes, but it's worth looking at the following:

http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/le23r71bx-i1341.html
Again, they're over £400, but they're excellent products, and HD Ready.
