I would have to be waking up very early, around 4:45 am to catch the bus at 5:30. I can't drink coffee or anything with caffine.

go to bed at 9-9:30pm so you get enough sleep - no coffee needed with 7-8 hours of sleep.....

That is exactly the schedule I keep! First off, you really do need to be in bed between 9:30 and 10:00. Second, and this is going to sound silly, run a humidifier in your bedroom. A lot of feeling bad in the morning is dehydration. Finally, if you can't do caffine, do sugar. A quick glass of OJ will boost your glucose level. Good luck!

Get out of bed, open a window, breathe slowly in throught the nose while raising you hands above your head. Breathe slowly out through your moth lowering you hands expelling all the air with your diaphragm.....as you finish breathing out - tilt the pelvis up (bottom forward) to expell all the stale air in your lungs. Repeat at least 3 times.

Before anything else eat a fresh apple and chew it well...you will waken up rapidly.

BUT count backwards from when you have to get up and go to bed in time to get your 8 hours' sleep!! You can't burn a candle at both ends!!

Go to bed earlier, wake up five minutes earlier than usual (yes- earlier!!) and do some exercise - running up stairs, jumping on the spot, anything that gets your heart pumping faster. stick your head out the window or in a bowl of cold water. that normally wakes me up.

Wheatgrass gives lots of energy! Read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheatgrass about it. It doesn't taste good but you don't have to drink a cup full. Try it, it's really healthy. Also do some quick morning stretches while listening to some music.
