No, because the purpose of going to church is not for the other people there. It is a time of worship for you and God (or whomever the church you go to believes). Hopefully the other people in that church feel the same way and will treat you with the same respect you have treated them by going worshiping, being respectful, then leaving. If you are treated with any disrespect by the members of the church, you should probably find somewhere else to go.

I visited a classic all black baptist church and felt a little uncomfortable, but the people were so warm and friendly I almost forgot I was a different color. This was a medium size church in Cincinnati. I have visited a lot of other churches from time to time of all colors and felt like an intruder.

look at it this way... church is God's sanctuary. God is already there in church , Iwent to a holliness church of God once, all, i mean all, black. I and my two children was not at the least bit uncomfortable. those black people have a soul bound for heaven or hell just like we do. if i was black, and a white person came in i would smile and welcome them.like christ wanst us all to do.god loves all black people as much as he does you.my children experienced a sunday service that has went with them to this day. those black people was not ashamed to feel the power of God's Holy Spirit, as the jumped over pews, and ran up and down the isle's. shouting sweet prayers to the Lord. singing praises so loud.. no there was no shame or embaressment.my children are in their 30's and they still feel the
effects of visiting the little black church of God.and too ,theres other races in churches,
like mexicans, chinese, if a person feels uncomfortable in church with others that are not of your race, then ask yourself this ? if Jesus walked in, would he be uncomfortable?

Been there, done that. Didn't feel uncomfortable at all. I wasn't even there to worship, I was shopping for a new religion. I went to a lot of different churches.

Let me turn this around and ask you would you feel uncomfortable in a church you had gone to all along and suddenly found others coming in who were not of your race?

How many of us are going to be welcoming to the newcomers, regardless of race? This puts it squarely on us as individuals..not on others!
I have to concur with the statement below "Faith has no color". No truer words were ever spoken in our day.

It hasn't come up, but I used to live right next to a black church. (I'm white.) They were the friendliest people EVER. On Friday afternoon, I'm sitting on the patio reading, and they're in their church lawn having a bbq. Someone comes over and brings me some food, and I go over and hangout.

No attempts at conversion or ulterior. Just people hanging out.

If the church was that group of people, I definitely would not.

No, I used to go to a church in which my race was the minority. People are essentially the same regardless of their race.
