If the bottle has been completely sealed liquors do not age in the bottle. Wines age in bottles but liqours only age in casks, barrels and tanks. Put it on eBay and see what happens. Just make sure the buyer is 21+. Alcohol is not alowed for sale there but they do allow "Collectible bottles" for sale. Just note that it is unopened and sale is for glass and not contents. You may get about $150-$350 I imagine. Good luck

Your right. The whiskey stops the desired aging process the moment it is bottled. After that the only thing the contents can do is deteriorate. It would probably make a nice bar side conversation piece!

Why would you think it is worse than the day bottled? I would open it and take a taste or ask $1,937 for it on eBay and see what happens.

Worth is unique. Market price about 250-300 $. Test could be good if it is still properly sealed.
