I'm a thriteen yr old girl, and I need to lose *some* weight in ten days for a ski trip. Right now I don't know what to eat that will be healthy; like should I eat a fruit or a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios? I have soccer today, Thursday, and Saturday... so I'm really going to need the nutrition. I also don't know if I should be on a low-carb or low-fat diet. Please...Help?

I also play soccer myself and it was a bit of a struggle to lose weight. Well the best to eat is oranges, they are full of vitamins and they give you lots of energy. Bananas also are great for the legs. Cut down on the sweets, that was my major struggle ever, and eat only when you are hungry, like fruits, vegetables, or anything on the food pyramid. Drinks lots of water it helps the body, and makes you really refreshed. Exercise daily! Have a rest on a certain day you like. Run, do crunches, push ups, or anything that is very active, especially the core. Which is like push ups but you have your forearms on the ground, like an "L" shape, they support your upper body. It's like an up push-up but you are off the floor, your toes and forearm should be on the floor. 30 sec. are for beginners then you can add on your own time. It's to help your torso, especially since you are skiing it's best to have a strong torso. Your body will be ready, stronger, and healthier for your life and that skiing trip!

Eat the cheerios, you are going to need the carbs for energy for exercising. Try not to have honey nut, try to have the plain Cheerios with some strawberried thrown in there and have skim milk.
Whenever you are hungry and you have already had a meal just have an apple.
Also, when you are eating, halfway through the meak get up and go do something, that always makes me lose my apetite.
Also at like 8:00 pm or so brush your teeth, that will keep you from eating.
Running is also a great way to lose weight.

you don't need low fat or low carb..you need balance in your diet! You know what is healthy and what isn't...eat the fruit rather than the honey nut cheerios..those aren't that great for you. plain cheerios are good though. just don't eat fast food and potato chips and things like that and you should be fine....you are a little young to be worrying about this though...

Both fruit and honeynut cheerios are VERY high in sugar. Not a good choice.
