This is an old Italian thing, but trust me, it works. Chew a leaf of fresh parsley. It doesn't taste that great, but it does wonders for your breath.

To find out whether you have bad breath, wash your hands, then lick the back of your hand. Let it dry. It will pretty much smell the way your breath smells to others.

My advice is to floss every day, and to "swish and spit" plain water between meals to dislodge food particles. Chew sugarless gum between meals as more saliva cleans your mouth and makes it smell better. Use a tongue scraper twice a day and drink a lot of water. You don't need fancy mints and stuff. Actually, Altoids and sugary mints make your breath smell worse because they feed sugar to the bacteria in your mouth.

Once you have determined that you have brushed thoroughly, flossed, etc., the continued problem of halitosis is a medical problem. You likely have an infection or gum disease, and this should be seen by a dental hygienist or dentist. There are no home remedies that I know about that can address these serious issues.

much of bad breath can be explained by what we eat. Eat a greasy hamburger with onions and garlic, and no matter how many times you brush your teeth, you gonna stank.

Don't eat foods that cause it... brush teeth at least twice a day, floss, and importantly, buy a tongue scraper and remove plaque from your tongue. Listerine helps too.

1) teeth need to be clean and in good repair. 2) teeth need brushed and mouthwash used. 3) the tongue needs scraped or brushed a couple time a week at least. 4) no smoking 5) keep altiods or the like handy in case you eat something with onions or garlic or the like.

Brush your teeth after every meal, Crest is the best for me. Drink a lot of water to wash out your system ( it natually has flouride in it) and try cloves/celery to munch on in between.

Brush and Floss after each meal to prevent the breaking down of food in between your teeth.

Try drinking more water, bad breath may be a cry for detoxification.

alangj917 got it right: your tongue is more likely the problem, not your teeth. You don't need a scraper though. Just lightly brush your tongue with your toothbrush when you're worried about being embarrassed.
