Evolutionary theory DOES NOT say that man evolved from apes. Nor does it say that apes evolved from man.

Evolutionary theory states that man and apes evolved from a common ancestor.

When will Christians ever figure this out?

The common ancestor of primates could synthesise vitamin c whereas apes and mankind can't and that is clear evidence that for a while they must have lived very close to each other in similar habitats to develop the exact same enzyme deficiency as a result of their diet, but they are only indirectly related as is proven by the comprehensive fossil record. Chimps didn't evolve from man or vice versa.
