how can you believe in the evolution theory when the man who made it up said that the whole thing was a lie? On top of that, scientificly there is no evidence whatsoever that this happened! i am not trying to be rude, i just want to know your thought! thanks!

So the whole "man was created from dirt" thing is true because a book says that it is the word of God huh?

There is quite a bit of evidence for evolution. Ever wonder why we have to keep making new medicines to fight bacteria? It isn't just for the hell of it.

Please take time away from your fictional book and watch this informative 4 minute video on how humans share a common ancestor with apes.

Well, the fact that your "question" is nothing more than the word "Evolutionists" proves that you're out to promote a particular agenda and you probably know next to nothing about evolution itself... you just think you know enough to dismiss it.

"the man who made it up said that the whole thing was a lie?"
Your maturity level, gullibility, and intelligence tells on you here. Darwin was a very smart man... he didn't just "make it up". He researched, tested, analyzed, and theorized. Anyone who told you that he recanted his theory on his deathbed is lying to you.

"On top of that, scientificly there is no evidence whatsoever that this happened!"
False. There's mounds of evidence for evolution. Just because you don't accept it doesn't mean it's not there.

"i am not trying to be rude"
No, you're just trying to be ignorant. You already have your presuppositions, and I'm very sure that no matter what anyone tells you here that is contrariwise to those presuppositions, you will actually take into consideration. You have your religious beliefs and that's that.

"i just want to know your thought!"
Pick up a book and read it. I'd recommend "Why Darwin Matters: The Case Against Intelligent Design" by Michael Shermer.

Look up some of your information in real books, not just internet sites that agree with your premise.

1) Darwin never, ever said evolution was a lie or incorrect.

2) No scientist, worth his/her salt, BELIEVES in a theory. Belief is the acceptance of something with little or no evidence - this is the domain of religion, not science.

3) No matter if Darwin had renounced his discoveries, the evidence supporting evolution is overwhelming and the detracting statements so paltry, minor, and usually incorrect, as to be insignificant.

4) The term evolutionist is only used by religious people, not a scientist or anyone else with their heads not stuck up their ***.

5) There aren't any 1st year science students that can't rip the "Creationist" theories to shreds. It doesn't even measure up to the standards of what science considers a hypothesis, much less a theory.

6) The Theory of Evolution only is a theory in terms of how evolution occurred. That it did and is occurring now is considered a matter of fact, not theory.

7) I am not in the biological sciences, but I've studied enough biology to understand the arguments pro and con. Further, many other fields of science support evolutionary conclusions, directly or indirectly. Trust me, no geologists would really care enough about biology to pervert their own branch just to support a biological assertion they believed wrong. Same with nuclear physics, astrophysics, or biochemistry. All these fields support things said by evolution, either by supporting the immense age of the universe, fossil records and dating, carbon dating, other radiological dating, and the age of the earth.

8) The ICE (main supporting branch for "proving" Creation Science) REQUIRES it's researchers to sign a statement saying that if they find research that goes against what the ICE's interpretation of the bible is, they will reject it. This is not fair and open research. These are not people with open minds. These are people with one goal in mind, to support THEIR view of the bible. Period.

I have a question for you. If religious people are so into truth and "Not bearing false witness", why are so many so ready to "Lie for god"?

He never said it was a lie. Plus, why should you abandon a theory when all the evidence supports it, just because the originator did? He doesn't have a monopoly on the idea.

There is lots of evidence. For one I'll pick the flu viruses which keep changing. Why do you think there is no evidence? Have you looked at sites which support evolution or just Christian sites? You should look at both and keep an open mind.

There is no difference between "micro" and "macro" evolution. It's simply lots and lots of your "micro" evolution over millions of years which SLOWLY change the species drastically.

This is a lie perpetrated by early opponents of evolution. Darwin's daughter who was with him til the end said this was an outright lie. Besides it would have no effect on the truth of the theory.

There is a huge amount of evidence that spans all disciplines of science. There has not been a single shred of evidence that disputes it. Had there been the person who discovered it would be more renowned than Darwin. Use your brain, not what some fundie pseudo-scientist tells you.

Well, I believe in God and believe in some form of evolution. The fossil record shows that human beings have changed over millions of years. This subject has been painstakingly researched for more than a hundred years by anthropologists and scientists from around the globe. There are hundreds of books on this subject. I would suggest that you do some research and try to find out more.

There is no conflict between such scientific ideas and the Bible, Qur'an, Bhagavad-Gita or any other religions or Holy Books. The great thinker, Baha'u'llah, wrote that science and religion should be like two wings of one bird. Without both, the bird cannot fly.

Evolution is the best scientific model that fits the massive amounts of data from a massive number of areas of study. Nothing else even comes close.

Fortunately, evolution, like all scientific models, are constantly evolving. So I fully expect the model to improve and improve with time. Maybe someday it might even be discarded and replaced with a newer and better scientific model (much as Newton was superceded by Einstien).

But, in any case it is better than the magic fairy tales of the bible. Go study up on the story of Noah's Ark and tell us how that makes any possible sense.

The story that Darwin admitted his theory is incorrect on his deathbed is a total outright lie. There is no evidence to back up that claim; in fact, someone who was right THERE beside him the entire time said that it never even happened. You can look it up if you want. And even if it was true, it wouldn't matter, because that's not how science works; it doesn't matter if one guy does or doesn't believe in it, it matters what the evidence says -- and the evidence overwhelmingly supports evolution.

Darwin wasn't even born when Lemarck was writing evolutionary theories in the 1700s. Poor old Darwin-the creationists make a straw man out of his theory then try and undermine it in the mistaken belief that they are actually challenging evolution.

Honey,

religion depends on brainwashing; nobody would believe it without either that or some emotional trauma. Darwin didn't "make it up"; he studied it. The story that he "recanted" on his deathbed is a lie; who told you this? Furthermore, science, unlike religion, evaluates claims based on their MERIT, not on the source, so even if he had changed his mind as a result of fear or sickness it wouldn't make a difference. There is a huge amount of evidence if you choose not to ignore it.

I hope one day you will break free of the brainwashing, at least enough to accept truth even when it conflicts with your religion. Good luck.
