I just posted about my friend of 20 years, and the answer to the posters is the reason she wants to come over, is to hang with my wife who feels bad for her. All this poor girl wants to do is go to the mall, coffee, whatever........just to get the hell away from this guy.
He has hobbies, but does none of them.......why? because oddly enough, he feels if he does his hobbies, then SHE will start to have hobbies without him, and he is a jealous person. I think we are about to hit the breaking point. BTW we have in the past, when I had to throw him on the ground cause he was getting a little too physical with his girlfriend, something I won't put up with. I am not trying to be a hero, but I need to take a stand, I have a sister, and if she were in this type of relationship, I wouldn't stand for it. I just cannot stand controlling, jealous people. Do you know Guys and Girls like this??
These people need to get a life.

I think that you and your wife need to back away from this situation because it is becoming too personal, what you can do is direct her to the domestic violence people, because she needs to get a restraining order against this individual before he kills her. As long as she has you to fall back on she will not do any thing for herself. You need to stop feeling sorry for her because only she can change her life, you getting physical with him is not help much. Because whatever you do to him he will do to her. Trust me when I tell you this.

That was a pretty fun story to read. I have a similar instance, ...This picks up after she had had enough and left the controlling freak. She had to move in with us for awhile until living arrangements could be made. It took about a month and were ended up in an all night 3-way. I think he was controlling her because he know her potential of evil and had a family to maintain. The current situation is full whack. In hind site, the relationship probably was best for all, rather than the breakup. All due, believe it or not, to a therapist she went to and got some really bad advise.

as this is all happening to your friend...shouldn't it be his concern and not yours---maybe it doesn't bother him.
