Love goes beyond the physical, and in some cases, asthetics isn't an issue. Love means accepting a person for who they are NOT for what you want or desire them to be......it's unconditional, no questions asked....Lust is.....when I see you I want to jump your bones and I'm not all that interested in getting to know all of you......

Lust is where you only are attracted to the person's physical features and usually doesn't lead to a long-term realtionship. Love is when you are attracted to the person's character and the physical features really don't play a large part. With lust, most people only think about "when will they give this to me, when will they do that to me" which is why lust is mostly a selfish, sexual emotion. But love, it thinks about "what can i do for them" without degrading yourself or losing an important part of you. Love only adds more to you, not take away. A good definition of love is 1 Corinthians 13 in the Bible. Love doesn't damage to people's lives, only good. That is why so many people are confused about the difference between love and lust, because they have a twisted definition of both. Some think that they are the same thing. Mostly this goes for teens and even abused people. They think jealousy is love, but it is selfishness. They think giving up an important part of themselves in order to please others is love, but it is stupidity. This is the difference between love and lust.

While it's different from person to person. I would have to say you can lust after someone you love. However you may not be "in love" with someone you lust after or are "in lust " with.

Ask your self these questions:
"do I want this to be a long term relastionship? " If so,
"What would you be willing to do to be with this person long term?"

For me the answer was anything. And I meant it.

lust is the force that brings 2 people together. If the 2 people are "mates", then after a time, love can form.

You can lust after almost anything , people, material things, positions (no pun intended). However, to love something takes work, conscious effort and many times sacrifice. If you have what you lust after without any effort, you probably will eventually loose interest. If you love it or them then you will work and sacrifice to keep it and make it better!

Lust is physical. You look at her (or him) and you just melt. You want this person because of the way they look. Now fast forward twenty years. Will you still feel the same? Remember, she (or he) will probably look like your mom/dad. If not, it is lust.

Love last longer than physical appearance. Love lasts despite physical appearance.
