It's honestly nothing to worry about, as a girl, i love horrors and all that blood and gore and violence, and it has had no effect on me, im still a shy, quiet girl that sits in the corner of the room.
I know with some people it does take some effect on their personality, but not necessarily on everyone.
If you do see signs of changes in his moods, then just tell him to calm down on the whole violent programmes, don't tell him to stop it all together, because its obviously something he enjoys watching.
You shouldn't be worried if he will hurt you, if a guy hits a girl then he has no respect for women, and being in only a few month relationship, you will be able to escape that before it gets worse.

I like watching gory, graphic films and I'm an early twenties female. I don't have anger issues and don't become violent at the drop of a dime. He just enjoys them. I wouldn't look to deep into some things! Good luck!!

Ok I lived with 5 guys for over a span of like 3 yrs. They all were in their 20s. And EVERY one of them loved violent movies, video games, etc. They used to watch ultimate fighting championships, and I was totally anti that kind fo stuff. However, after enough time, I began to just sit and watch too bc I had nothing better to do... you might find you like it. I still don't like overly violent movies or video games, but I realized boxing or UFC is actually pretty cool. Only one of the 5 guys had a violent episode, and it was directed at another guy after waaaaaay too much to drink.
if you are uncomf watching that stuff tell your bf. But I wouldn't worry that just because he watches that kind of entertainment that he is going to snap and hurt you. If there aren't warnhing signs (watching violent stuff doesnt' strike me as a legit warning sign), then re-evaluate the sitch.

Seems perfectly fine, I'd say i'm the same but i'm not a violent person, I think life has just lost so much of it's kick you need something really hard to stir a feeling.....what's happening on the news has a lot got to do with it, Violence is eveywhere these days so if it's not as violent as sky news then I wouldn't be bothered watching it.....
As for him getting drunk that's perfectly normal...

He just may be into gory films! I like watching ghost films but if I saw one for real I'd run a mile! It won't mean he's violent for real just because he likes the films. Get him to watch his drinking tho, too much is bad on the health.

I believe that it depends on the person. Some people really love watching gory and violent movies - a lot of my friends do - but I don't think that it will make him violent. If you're concerned, ask him about it.
This is just my opinion - it's your choice alone.

As a 28 y/o male, I will tell you I certainly enjoy violent/gory films, while I am nothing more than a social drinker.
I find your boyfriend's consistent inebriation to be a far greater concern than his choice of movie genre. If you truly fear his response, I STRONGLY SUGGEST ending the relationship.

Liking violent movies is ok.Girls oso like gory stuff.I think u shld be more concerned abt his drinking problem. He may become an alcoholic and by then, there's a high chance he may turn violent instead. If you want the best for him,i think u shld let him know wad u think. He may appreciate u being concerned abt him.

Honestly, if you're afraid of your boyfriend huting you, and you seem to have good reasons to suspect it may happen, I would do a disappearing act pronto.
I felt scared myself just reading your story. Terribly uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, it does happen.
Men have raped and killed after watching all sorts of violent films.
You do not need to wait and see.
Leave him.
Don't even waste your time discussing it with him, he wouldn't understand and would only get suspiscious and obssessed with you leaving him which might prompt him with doing something to stop you, like something terrible....
I am not being funny. I do mean it.
Dump the guy, he's bad news.xx

I don't think watching gorey movies is an indication of a violent nature (many young men do & they remain harmless). What worries me is that you say "he does tend to get drunk a lot"; I would advise you to keep an eye on that instead.
Good luck.
