I recently got my period two days before I was predicted to start. It started out normal but stayed brown the entire time. The last few days were very light, I wasn't even feeling up a pad. I had light cramping for a couple days. I started around when I thought I was supposed to and my period lasted its normal 7 days. I do not use birth control but my boyfriend and I use protection. I am 22 years old and am I usually have a regular period (7 days, 2 to 3 heavy red days, the rest are brown). I also took a pregnancy test during this "period" and the results were negative. Is this just an irregular period or am I pregnant?

if you took a ride on the skin-boat...there is always a possibility.

I would try a pregnancy test again. If it is going to be inaccurate it is only going to err by telling you you're not when you are. If you do not have a history of irregular periods and you are not on birth control, and another test gives the same results, I would make an appointment to see your doctor, anyway. Better to be safe than sorry, you know best how your body should behave, and if things change there is always a reason. Good Luck!

You should just wait awhile until you can take a test to find out, taking a test when your on your period isn't going to do you any good. There are girls that get pregnant and still have one or two periods that are real light, but in your case sometimes periods are just light, I usually have heavy ones but every once in awhile it will light and usually mine last 5 or 6 days but when its light it might only last 3 or 4 days...its all the body, it does weird things sometimes.

The same thing has happened to me. Having sex changes the course and the type of period girls get. It may take up to 6 months for your body to catch on to your new changes, but it is definately very normal. Take another test in about a week or so to be sure.

It's just an irregular period in my opinion. However, any time you engage in sexual intercourse, with or without protection, there is ALWAYS the possibility of pregnancy. If you are unsure of wanting to have a baby with your boyfriend then .....well, you know your options.

maybe you shouldn't`t take the test when you are on your period and if the test comes out wrong again you should go to your doctor and you mite be pregnant because you always come on your period the day before you get pregnant or the day you find out your pregnant

It is definately hard 2 say right now, taking a pregnancy test then would've been way 2 early. I say wait a couple of weeks & take one in the morning with your 1st urine of the day, it worked 4 me.

that sounds like spotting which can occur in place of a period when you first get preggo. wait a week and take the test again.

there are 3 options-
wait for your next period to come (or not come)
wait a couple of days and take a second test
or contact your doctor
