Okay, just need help with picking the color of my tattoo im getting on the 14th. I talked to some people at the tattooing place but they weren't much help. Im getting a tattoo on my back and its a little bit bigger star in the bottom middle and a cluster of smaller stars comming up from it like wings on both sides. I just want to know what color would be the best for it I don't want dumb answers like its your choice I know its my choice I just want others opinions and yes I am getting it so don't say its a bad decision. I have tan skin so I was wondering what color would be best and really stand out? I'm liking a light blue color, any other opinions??Thank you in advance

My cousin just recently got a tattoo (3 months ago) She's really dark complected. (Mexican) ;) She got this cute butterfly on her lower hip. The colors she choose were a teal/sky blue, with purple. It looks so good on her skin tone. So I would say blue is definitely in! Great choice! =)

if you have darkly tanned skin then a light any color won't show up well. do you get out in the sun a lot or are you just naturally tanned? because the sun severely breaks down the ink in your tattoos and sunscreen does not protect the ink from the sun. it is vital to your tattoo that it be kept out of the sun or it will fade and look awful within years. purple shows up pretty wel lon darker skin. or a maroonish red. good luck!

Here's one for you. Get the main body of the stars done in deep black. Have an outline(it doesn't have to be very wide) done around the edge, and then have a "halo" of black-light reflective yellow or blue fanning out from around that. You can't put the UV ink on over or under other colors though.

the darker colours stand out more and do not fade as much or as fast. If you want blue, try a darker version of the colour. Or, you could make it all black.
