Absolutely, but know that shingles only shows up on one side of your body and never crosses the midline because it follows one nerve. If you think you have shingles, go to a doc NOW because the anti-virals they can give you (and will if it's on your face bc of the threat of blindness mentioned by another) work best the faster you're on them.

Shingles can affect nerves anywhere in the body. I have had shingles on my face - it followed a nerve from my ear in an arc down to my chin.
