I dated a girl for 3 years and she broke up with me and I loved her with all my heart. It killed me but it hurt even more seeing her all the time especially if she was hanging out with another guy....I would say it depends on you but sometimes you need your down time in order to heal from a situation like that

I just recently got dumped by the love of my life and we have not spoken yet it has only been a week though, i think that in the beginning it's best not to talk because i know if my ex and i were talking right now all i would be doing is begging him to try to work things out and get back together and the constant rejection would make my life even worse. dont talk for right now...it does hurt but wait until your emotions have settled down and you have learned to live without someone.

for a while at least, the reason I say that is because "you love him so much tho." Having no contact eases the transition that you make in not having him. If you have to, find another man, get on with your life.

I think it is better to make a clean break-no reason to keep opening the wound. Out of sight, eventually out of mind. It is hard to do, but I think for now it is better to have no contact to give yourself time to heal. In the future, maybe you can have a friendly relationship, but for now, you should just stay away and focus on yourself.

Depends on how you and he is handling the break up. If one of you are not handling it very well; seeing each other may be very painful and increase the healing process time of the break up. No reason to hurt longer than necessary and drag it out.

IF you really want it to be over, not talking until you lose your feelings for him is best. IF you want to get back together but are taking a break, then you can keep talking on a friendship level because even if your feelings for him still harbor, it'll be ok because you're planning on getting back together.

I guess it depends on the particular individual, but it's been my experience that it's easier to get on with my life if I discontinue all contact, remove all reminders, and focus on something else (anything else). Good Luck

i found that it is a lot harder to get over someoone if you still speak to them its better if you stay away at least until you get over him you know i was with someone who was the love of my life he was my soulmate i thought i would die when he broke up with me i called him all the time he waould talk to me and i found that all i would talk about was the way things were they way they could be and how i wanted to be back with him and after 3 yrs (really ) i saidto myself that i had to just stop calling him b/c i was not able to get over him while i was still friends with him i mean i knew we would not get back together but i just could not let go so i know how you feel but if you want to get over him you have to let him go trust me b/c if you do reamin friends every time he tell you he can't talk or can't do something b/c of his new girl you will be crushed trust me you think you can be friends with him but it will not work

you will get over him faster if u dont see him. the love of my life we kept in touch, and it took 1 & a half years to finaly say I am over him, but still when we talk he will say love u. I would not see him for awhile so your heart can mend it killed me even more to hear his voice or see him.
