Only God holds the future. He is the only one who knows what will happen---every prohesy must coincide with the word.

First of all, Pat Robertson does not speak for or represent all christians. Secondly, as a christian, I disagree with what he said. Pat Robertson is a Pentecostal christian who is a part of the unbiblical word of faith movement that erroneously believes that if you are poor or sick, it's because you do not have enough faith and so are being cursed, and that is part of why he said what he said about the haiti earthquake. Pat has no definate knowledge that God punished the Haitians with an earthquake, so he should not definately say so. What Pat said about the Haitians making a pack with the devil to free themselves years ago from French slavery, is just an old ledgend, with no proof, so he shouldn't have said it. Please don't make the mistake of thinking that and 1 human being speaks for all of God's people. That is ridiculous. Did serial killer Ted Bundy speak for or represent all non-christians??

At Acts 16:16-19, the sacred record reports that “a certain servant girl” in the ancient city of Philippi furnished her masters with much gain by her “art of prediction.” The account plainly says, however, that the source of her predictions was, not the almighty Creator, but “a demon of divination.” Hence, when the apostle Paul expelled the demon, the servant girl lost her powers of prediction.

This is why we see why God’s Law to Israel stated: “There should not be found in you . . . anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events . . . For everybody doing these things is something detestable to God.” (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) In fact, the Law made such practices a capital offense.—Leviticus 19:31; 20:6.

There is no proof that his predictions are from God.

I don't listen to a word that comes out of that man's mouth.

How can the same people who don't believe that Sylvia Brown can predict the future be so sure about the predictions of Pat Robertson?

Doesn't make any sense...

I would be more interested in hearing what he predicted LAST year (to see if anything he said actually came true). Or is he just a false prophet?

I love watching Pat. He's one crazy loon and to see someone who can function in society and believe the crazy stuff he spouts is just amazing. I'm never disappointed with the level of wackyness that he shows -- I hope he sticks around for a long time because no one else is quite as entertaining.

No. I assume there was nothing "earth shaking" or you would have mentioned it. Did he happen to say that we are headed towards peace in the Middle East this year?
