Does anyone here use aspirin masks (crushing up some uncoated aspirins, mixing with water and putting it on your face then rinsing off)?

I've read a lot about it being good for reducing pore size, getting rid of blackheads and minor acne in general.

I was just wondering, when you put it on your face as a mask, is it supposed to be like an actual paste or just little white bits really? Because that's how it turned out when I crushed them up...

oh yeah i do this.. i found it on www.makeupalley.com, they have lots of product reviews and critiques on makeup brands, as well as home remedy's such as this..

what i do is take 4-5 tablets, drop a few drops of water on top til they soften on their own. then i squirt some cetaphil Or honey and mix. rub onto clean face, wait for at least 30 min or longer... and then wash off w/ warm water and MOISTURIZE after!

it's pretty much just little white bits.... it's cuz it needs to exfoliate when u rub it on and rub it off. make sure when u wash it off, u are rubbing gently .. it feels really good too :). try not to do it more often than 1-2 times a month, because they don't know the effects of too much aspirin getting into the bloodstream topically vs. swallowing a pill. other than that, it's a great natural home remedy.

also, i hear u can add a bit of crushed aspirin to Anything, like body wash while u shower, or even face masks like Mint Julep, etc, to exfoliate. :) good luck~

It's supposed to be like a paste. Mix them with a little bit of water. Keep adding water until it is pasty.

Aspirin is mostly salycilic acid. That is used in some facial treatments to "freshen" the skin. It's a bit risky using the aspirin, because it isn't the proper concentration to be used on your skin. You could end up with a slight burn.
