I heard there's a gun that shoots from an angle. You can turn the barrel and see what's around the corner. Also shoot what's around. Is this true???

Its true -Cornershot, an Israeli-American firm has created a pistol accessory that enables the user to see, and fire, a pistol around corners. The Corner Gun looks like a boxy assault rifle. But in the center of the weapon can turn right or left, and the front part of the weapon can hold a pistol (Glocks are used now, but others can be accommodated). The front part also contained a video cam. The rear part of the weapon has a viewer for the videocam and a trigger, which activates a trigger mechanism in front part that fires the pistol. Firing 9mm or larger bullets, the sighting system is pretty accurate at ranges under a hundred meters, which is the normal range of urban combat. The weapon can fire a pistol fitted with a silencer. The videocam can be replaced with a night vision system and laser sights. This system is only being sold to governments for police or military operations. The Israeli army is field testing the system in urban combat situations. Obviously, the weapon is also useful for just looking around a corner to see if the coast is clear, and that would probably be its most frequent use in combat. No price was given, but the Corner Gun is not high tech (although it is patented) and could be assembled using off the shelf parts and the use of a machine shop.

Yes. The Germans had one like that in WW 2. It was a curved barrel that attached to the rifles reciever. It was used when they were fighting in the streets and around buildings. They could just point the barrel in the direction of the target and not show themselves at all. But the barrels didnt last very long due to wear at the turn. There are some in production now that have cameras on them that let the man see what the gun is looking at with out him having to look down the barrel.

It's called Corner shot, and it's not technically a gun. Corner shot was developed by Israel for use in urban warfare. It is a holder consisting of a trigger and 2 cameras (fish eye for wide view, regular for aiming of weapon.) into which you can place a weapon, usually a pistol. You use the holder to aim and fire the weapon. So technically there is no gun that can shoot around corners, but there is the product that lets you point your gun around the corner and shoot.

The Germans eperimented with a gun with a bent barrel that shot around corners for urban combat backin WWII. As far as I know the gun was not mass produced. I beleive it worked, meaning, it fired rounds, but I dont think it was tremendously effective. Shooting blind usually isnt.

This is not new, the Germans invented one back in WW2, not good at long ranges because the bullet shatters in the barrel, but kinda acts like a shot gun at short ranges, they used them to help defend their tanks against Russian solders. However I am sure that a modern one may have been developed, but won't be surprised to see it pop up with the modern urban warfare..

Israel has produced a weapon that will fire around corners or over bunkers, without the shooter being exposed to return fire. It is capable of shooting a semi automatic Glock pistol, a fully automatic M-16, or a gernade launcher, depending on which weapon is mounted to the device.

It seems to be a fairly effective weapon with respectable accuracy.

Yes there is such a weapons platform.
You can either use a semi-auto pistol, or a rifle (colt AR-15)-(M-16) and the like.
