Grab the book, "Curly Girls Handbook" by Lorraine Massey. She's a stylist with her own salon in SoHo and has curly hair that she's spent decades trying to tame and bring out the best. I have very curly hair and loved this book. She has home recipes for everything from gel to lavendar oil spritz to tricks during washing.
A big tip I like? Use cool water at the end when you rinse your hair because it helps close the cuticles of your hair and keeps frizz down.

frizz is a product of hair needing moisture. Fill the hair with protein (egg, mayo) as a conditioner, then rinse, add oil (olive, coconut) and a few drops of humectant (honey - the ions draw and keep moisture in the hair). good luck!

This may sound extremely disgusting but I've heard that mayonnaise helps. You are supposed to put it on your hair and then rinse it out and wash with your regular moisturizing shampoo immediately after rinsing.

When you use hand lotion and you use too much you rub the excess through your hair instead of wiping it off on a cloth. It will rid you of the fizzies. Happy New Year.
