If all you wanted was one cheap item, but I think it is a smart marketing strategy, because if you buy a item off of the $$ menu, you will more than likely buy at least a soda to go with it, and they make roughly the same amount of money ratio wise! :)

i think that the dollar menu has helped me a lot in tight money situations to get some dinner

Once in a while, when u need a quick snack for a buck, its good. But since alot of restaraunts added it, people are starting to use that as their only food scource, or close to it. I dont care about people doing that, getting fat, dieing, whatever, but it makes america look realy bad
