I'm having my wisdom teeth removed on friday, and i'm experiencing a sore throat, and my glands are swollen...I'm being put to sleep during the surgery, and I heard that doctors sometimes delay surgery if the patient catches a cold or flu...anyone know?

Yes, the doctor will delay the surgery if you are sick. However, your sore throat and swollen lymph nodes may be from your wisdom teeth. Talk to your oral surgeon or regular doctor about your symptoms, the surgery may be delayed or you could be given an antibiotic.
