working and no time for a formal class room. any programs or something i can use so i can get on my wife's level, she is Dominican and Mexican

If you have a wife who speaks spanish then you have a huge advantage. Practice speaking spanish with her (don't worry about mistakes) and you will slowly pick it up without noticing. Interacting with native speakers will beat any program, any day, in learning a language.

maybe going to live in Mexico would help. the only phrase i know in Spanish is : tuy tien y cara como pero, which is pronounced, too teen yay cara como pear o, but don't try it on your wife. The English translation is You have a face like a dog. Try making up after THAT one!!

Your wife is the best teacher you can have and for free. I´m sure she can and will help you. Tell her: Mi amor, yo quiero hablar Español (My love, i want to speak Spanish).
