Not necessarily. You have to burn more calories than you take in during the day in order to have a deficit and lose weight.

It depends how much you eat before 6pm. If you eat like a pig before that time you could even gain weight.
However, if you eat "normal" until 6 and then don't eat the rest of the night, it will most likely result in weight loss becaue teh body burns more calories during times when we are awake. The body stores fat the easiest at night.

You won't necessarily automatically lose weight, but it does help. It's healthier in general. I used to eat late all the time. The older I get, the worse eating late gets. I have bad dreams, acid reflux, etc. Even if I give myself three hours between eating and going to bed, I still have bad acid reflux.
I've found that if I eat earlier, I feel a ton better, and it makes me actually want to eat breakfast (which also helps weight loss).
Good luck to you.

Everyone will say no, it doesn't matter what time, blah blah blah but for me personally and a lot of people I know, they lose weight more quickly if they don't eat later. Think about it. If you eat a ton right before you go to bed you're not going to burn any of it off. It's just going to sit in your stomach. I don't eat after 7 and I'm thin.

i dont think you will loose weight if you dont eat after 6 p.m but you wont gain any. because if you eat after 6 your body doesnt reallly use the energy and you would gain weight as a result.

Possibly, but I know people who lose weight and eat at 10PM. They exercise after they eat and when they get up in the AM.
Exercise is very important to losing weight.

It doesn't matter much WHEN you eat...it's how much. If you eat lightly all day...then eat after 6pm, you won't gain weight, unless you pig-out, of course.
It's a myth, people always say..don't eat after 6 or 7pm. The key is:burn off what you take in....very simple to understand, but hard to do, I know!

There is nothing called losing weight based on time factor. Its all depends on the calorie expended for the day
Men -calorie requirement -2000 to 2200
Women- calorie requirement is 1500to1800
one is expected to expend 500calorie per day
.
