well you can start running in the mornings before school and maybe watching what you eat you dont have to go on a diet since your already athletic but i think mainly just watch what you eat. that means no more stealing your best friend's fries!!

I don't know if you can go down in weight and still be healthy. If all your friends think you can't maybe they have a point.

If you are athletic it's not unheard of to be little heavier then the norm due to all that developed muscle.

You seem to have enough exercise in your daily life now so is your diet off? Avoid junk food and fast food at all costs and don't drink soda. Do not skip eating. When you do that your body saves fat because it thinks it is starving.

Perfect body weight isn't just due to how tall you are it's also based on body frame. If you have a large body frame and you are 5'8 then maybe you are underweight.

If you are underweight or at good weight and you start dieting and losing more, you could endanger your health or life.

A doctor or nutritionist could help you here and I would advise asking them for help.

try to monitor your caloric intake, and maybe get a podometer, which will measuer how many calories you burn. try to cut out saturated fats and trans fats from your diet (or just limit them).

also, remember that muscle weighs more than fat, and you sound pretty athletic, so keep in mind that a really toned person and a non-toned person that are the same size will probably have different weights. the toned person will most likely weigh more.

so, just make sure you do things right, dont try to just drop a bunch of weight at once, take things slowly, real results will take time.
