Hi, I just bought a used car from a dealer yesterday,
and is going to pick it up today,
I haven't signed any paper works yet, but they wanted information for the car registration,
So,, when I go back today and sign papers,
what do I need to get from them?
it's my first time buying it from a dealer alone,
and don't know what forms to sign.
They do have a warranty for the car,
so I would have to get one of those forms,
and since I'm not buying it with credit, I wouldn't have to sign any of those,
So, what do I have to get from them?

They will give you all the necessary paperwork.... like the contract, DMV forms, power of attorney (so they can transfer the title to you), etc. So everything you sign you should get a copy of.

Just make sure the VIN# and the License plate # (if it has one) match the paperwork. I bought a used car once and they printed the wrong license # on the DMV forms which could've caused a major headache later.

The title, registration and plates (if it doesn't have one) will be sent to you by the DMV. This can take up to 3 months. Just make sure the temporary tag stays on the windshield until you get them.

Make sure you get your registration documents so as you can send them to the DVLA and register the car as you own and if the car is not new or over 3 years then you'll need the MOT certificates too.

Its his motor vehicle, he could make his own regulations. Its no longer unlawful to sell a motor vehicle with undesirable brakes and its no longer unlawful to require a customer to purchase a motor vehicle in the previous you restore something. only walk away in case you do no longer desire the motor vehicle on the words presented. in my opinion, i does no longer pay for a motor vehicle except and till i grew to become into confident the brakes have been fixed properly. I surely have offered quite a few autos with small "subjects" that i does no longer restore except the shopper needed them fixed and grew to become into going to purchase the motor vehicle and left a non-refundable deposit for me to get the element fixed. I as quickly as offered a honda with a CV joint making a noise so undesirable I truthfully did no longer think of the motor vehicle could make it yet another 2 weeks. And coated myself through making the shopper comply with get the motor vehicle fixed. She in no way did and the motor vehicle lasted 6 months in the previous it give up. She wasn't mad, in reality, she referred to as & presented to sell the motor vehicle back to me for a similar value the junkyard presented her. (It grew to become right into a $850 motor vehicle and he or she figured she have been given her moneys worth out of it, and that i paid her $a hundred and fifty for it after it tore up on the edge of the line)
